Let’s talk about Safer Gambling!
Gaming can be a bit of fun and entertainment. And that’s how it should be. But for some people, gambling becomes a problem, affecting their finances, relationships and mental health.
At Aspers Online, we care about our players, so to help you play safe and stay safe, here’s a run down of the responsible gambling tools we have available and where you can go for further help, if you need it:
Game Session Reminders
Playing for long, uninterrupted periods of time is often a sign that there’s a problem. To keep track of how long you’ve been playing and give yourself a nudge to have a little break from playing every now and then, you can set game session reminders to pop up from once a minute to once every five hours. To set yours, go to the Responsible Gaming tab in My Account and select how frequently you want reminders to appear.
Set Your Limits
Having a cap on how much you can deposit and lose in a day, week or month is good way to stay in control of the amount you’re spending on gaming. To your own Net Deposit Loss Limit, head to the cashier and select the ‘My Limits’ tab.
Take a Break
Need to take a step back from playing for a bit? Then the Take a Break option could help. To set a temporary block on your account so you are unable to access it for between 24 hours and 6 weeks, go to the Responsible Gaming tab in My Account and select your chosen Take a Break period.
Need a longer break? It’s ok, we can help. To self-exclude – meaning you will block access to your Aspers Online account for a minimum of 6 months – go to the Responsible Gaming tab in My Account and select your chosen self-exclusion period. This will lock your account and you will be unable to access it again until after the self-exclusion period has finished and we’ve spoken to you to confirm you’re ok to start playing again.
If you want to self-exclude from all online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain, you can register with GAMSTOP. Their service is free and can help you restrict your access to a wider range of gaming.
